MCT oil – what is that?

As you might have guessed or known, MCT is the abbreviation for medium-chain fatty acids (medium-chain triglycerides). Our MCT oil is purely plant-based and consists of a mixture of triglycerides - mainly caprylic acid (octanoic acid) and capric acid (decanoic acid). These saturated fatty acids are obtained from coconut oil, which is naturally rich in medium-chain fatty acids. MCT fats are especially popular in the ketogenic diet.
